The Acknowledgements page
I think the Acknowledgements page is the most personal part of any book, when the narrative veil is lifted and the proper truth of how the thing was written emerges. The Shetland Witch first started to take form in summer 2019, and so the Acknowledgements carried on accrueing for several years. Here’s the first page (the second one is mainly disclaimers about it all being my own invention).
